Building Our Future Together

Ajose Foundation was founded by Her Excellency Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, a businesswoman, humanitarian and wife of Mr. Dapo Abiodun (MFR), the governor of Ogun State, Nigeria.

The aim of Ajose Foundation is to work in partnership with the Ogun State Government, civil society and other organisations in making life better for the people of Ogun State, while championing programs and initiatives towards meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The coronavirus pandemic has exposed, to a great extent, the gaps in the various SDG sectors where urgent action is needed. We aim to work with local and international partners to address these gaps, while actively advocating for more harmonious development for total wellbeing and progress of resident of Ogun State Nigeria. Ajose Foundation exists to help people understand and act on issues relating to the SDGs, especially those affecting our focus areas: health and wellbeing, quality education, empowerment of women and girls and clean water and sanitation.

Healthcare & Education

Many educational materials in local languages are often out of date. We work with school leaders and publishers to ensure that students have access to current textbooks that are age appropriate and written in their primary language.

Sexual and Gender Based Violence

We create bespoke continuing education programs to address the needs of teachers and their student communities. From training on the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.

Welfare and Special Needs

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
